Due to the amended regulations covering refrigerants, work on refrigeration systems may only be carried out by approved STEK workshops. In addition, only these workshops are allowed to refill the refrigerant.
All work must be registered in a logbook and stamped by approved STEK workshops. This logbook must be present in its original form with the refrigerated trailer. Inspections are carried out by the Customs department.
The absence or incompleteness of this document is an economic offence and can incur a fine of €5,000. Extensive consultations have taken place between TRTA and other parties concerning problems and rules.
