TPMS will be required (for a single type approval) by 2022, and on individual semi-trailers by 2024.
In order for TRTA members to be able to comply with this requirement, trailer manufacturers will have to install a uniform system which will also have a practical function when it comes to repairs and replacements.
Research is currently underway into the basic principles for TPMS that are either already on the market or are set to be introduced. More information on the progress of this project will be announced here.
